About

Are you planning a family vacation? You have come to the right spot.  If you like nature, history and the United States landscape you have chosen the correct path on the world wide web.  This blog will mainly focus on National Parks and National Park Service sites.

There are 60 National Parks in the United States and I bet you don’t want (unless you are like me) to buy books and research each park that you want to go to.  So here is a blog that will tell you what we did at each park, and how long we spent there. With 420 National Park Service sites we will be busy over the next few years visiting and learning what this great nation has to offer, and best of all we are going to give you our expert advice for free!! What a deal.

Got Kids? I do and they LOVE doing Junior Rangers at each park.  Here on the blog you will get to see what badges and patches each park hands out for doing Junior Rangers. Don’t have a kid, it’s fun for adults as well.

Have a National Park Passport book??  We do and we can’t get enough of it. We will be showing you the cancellation stamps we get at each park as well.  So get out there and start stamping!!  We would love to know your favorites!

Little bit about me, the author. I am 43 years old. I work as a Microbiologist for the USDA full time. In my free time I LOVE to travel. I have 2 boys, ages 13 and 11 who love to go on adventures with me. It is my goal to get them to every National Park in the US! Also to get a picture taken at every state line sign before 2023.

Navigating this site: Under the State line Signs tab I list all of the NPS sites in those states that we have visited with links to read about those parks, just hover over what park and click on the link.  Otherwise browse through the tab of National Park Service sites.  Let me know if you have any questions.

Hope you enjoy my blog, would love to get feedback and ideas.
